A health educator, working on various community health issues, will find authoritative and current information on over 650 diseases and conditions. MedlinePlus also includes extensive information on prescription and nonprescription drugs, health information from the media, and information on thousands of National Institutes of Health (NIH) sponsored clinical trials accessible to the public. There are also lists of hospitals, clinics, and physicians, a medical encyclopedia and a medical dictionary – all information that can assist community members become more informed about their health.
